Brian and I are truly honored and excited to host a Meet & Greet with Missouri artist Derek McCarty here at The Farme at our Bread & Bloom Stand
Please join us on February 28, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 PM, as we showcase Derek’s beautiful Bennett Springs–inspired artwork in celebration of the 2026 Missouri Trout Season Opening Day. We couldn’t imagine a better way to welcome such a meaningful Missouri tradition than by sharing it with Derek, his family, and our community right here at Bennett Springs as we anticipate the 630AM, March 1 buzzer ringing in the new season.
During the event, Derek will be featuring and signing his prints, answering your questions, and giving us a behind-the-scenes peek into his latest projects and creative process. Whether you’re a longtime admirer of Missouri landscapes, an art collector, or simply love the story and spirit of Bennett Springs, this will be a special opportunity to connect with the artist and the place that inspires his work.
Why Bennett Springs Means So Much to Us
Bennett Springs holds a deeply personal place in our hearts. We had their first date at Bennett Springs in 1989, and just two years later, in 1991, we were married at Bennett Springs Church. When our current property came up for sale, and it was only five minutes from Bennett, we jumped on the location to plant our roots and seeds here and The Farme was born.
Hosting Derek McCarty and sharing this moment with our community feels like a beautiful full-circle moment. We can’t wait to gather, visit, and celebrate Missouri art, Missouri waters, and Missouri memories together.
