Join Our Rustic Sourdough Baking Class at The Farme

Don’t you agree that there something special about baking sourdough bread by hand? I love the feel of the dough, the slow fermentation, and the joy of sniffing 🙂 and pulling a beautiful rustic loaf from the oven. This winter, I’m excited to invite you to join me at The Farme for an in-person Rustic Sourdough Loaf Class designed to build confidence and connection in your home sourdough baking.

Our upcoming classes will be held on:

  • Monday, January 19, 2026
  • Monday, February 16, 2026
    Time: 9:30 AM–12:30 PM

I’ll be personally instructing each class, guiding you step-by-step through the sourdough process in a relaxed, hands-on setting at my kitchen table. Whether you’re brand new to sourdough or looking to refine your technique, this class will give you practical skills you can use again and again.

What You’ll Learn & Take Home

Each attendee will leave with everything needed to continue baking at home, including:

  • A healthy sourdough starter
  • Starter care and maintenance information
  • A rustic sourdough recipe you can rely on
  • Baked sourdough to enjoy
  • Loaves prepared for future baking

We’ll talk through the “why” behind each step, troubleshoot common issues, and share tips I’ve learned through years of baking naturally leavened bread.

What to Bring

Please bring:

  • One mixing bowl
  • Two large tea towels

Everything else will be provided.

Class Details

  • Cost: $45 per person
  • Location: The Farme
  • Instructor: Laurie Bennett

Space is limited to keep the class personal and interactive. If you’ve been wanting to slow down, learn something new, and fill your kitchen with the smell of fresh sourdough, this is the perfect opportunity.

We’d love to have you baking alongside us at The Farme. 🍞

Blessings — Brian and Laurie
